Administering the survey to students as a group (in a classroom or computer lab) is most effective. To avoid confusion, a shortcut to the link can be created on the desktop of all computers used for student access (see instructions below). Be sure the web link has been tested and is working properly.
Please note the following key points:
- First, please ensure that your district’s IT team has followed these important directions to ensure surveys are accessible.
- Students will access their unique survey by entering their 10-digit state student ID at surveys.panoramaed.com/ia. Note that links will not be active until the first day of the survey window.
- Students will then hit “Start Survey.”
- When students have finished completing the survey, be sure they click the blue “SUBMIT” button to submit their answers. Once submitted, students cannot go back and change their answers.
- The following browsers are supported by the online survey collection system:
- Google Chrome versions 40 and higher
- Firefox versions 34 and higher
- Microsoft Edge all versions
- Safari
How to Create a Desktop Shortcut for the Survey:
- Select the full survey URL in the web browser and right click to select Copy.
- Go to your computer's desktop and right click.
- On the menu, scroll down to New and then click on Shortcut; a Create Shortcut menu should appear.
- In the "Type the location of the item" field, right click Paste the URL you copied and click Next.
- Name your shortcut (e.g., Conditions for Learning, or CfL) and click Finish.
- Double-click on the shortcut that was just created on the desktop to test that it directs to the Survey access page.
