The Overview Report contains Academic, Attendance and Behavior data. Its purpose is to provide an at-a-glance summary of potential risks across the three indicator areas. It is designed to show indicators that are known to be early warning signs of potential trouble. If you have concerns or questions, please use the Student Success ticket system and provide details so we can see the same concerns you see.

System Level Overview Reports
System level overview reports are accessible by clicking on the School, District, or AEA tab and selecting Overview on the left menu. This report contains a summary data display for each of your indicator bars (Academics, Attendance, and Behavior) and will display the percentage of students on-track in each of the three areas. For academics, the percentage of students who are defined as being "On Track" is based on the lowest grade displayed in Student Success.

For school administrators and staff:
On the school level report, if you have access to multiple buildings, you may select a building from the drop-down menu to change building views. The school indicators displayed are the percentage of students on-track in each of the three areas. The default display groups data by grade level in the school. Use the View By and Filters on the left menu to evaluate the data by different grouping. Click on a grade to view student level data, depending on your MTSS user role.
For district administrators and staff:
The indicators displayed are the percentage of students on-track in each of the three areas in each school within the district, including preschool locations within the district boundaries. The default display groups data by building. Use the View By and Filters on the left menu to evaluate the data by different grouping. Click on a building name to view school level data.
For AEA staff:
The indicators displayed are the percentage of students in the AEA who are on-track in each of the three areas. The default display groups data by school district. Use the View By and Filters on the left menu to evaluate the data by different grouping. Click on a district name to view district level data.
Navigating the Overview Report
- Hover over data displayed to view a pop-out with the cutpoint and number of students on track vs the total number of students.
- View historic data using the school year/window selector in the upper right corner of the report.
- Click the ? in the upper right to view the color key with cutpoints for each area and indicator.
- Use the View By and Filters on the left menu to evaluate the data by different grouping.
- Lists can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the heading. This can help address questions about which schools or students may be doing well generally (depending on the grain size), or when there may be a need for general support.
General Tip: If you toggle between Literacy and Overview screens, what you filtered to may or may not carry over. Always check the ‘bread crumb’ trail below the report name to confirm what you are viewing.
Important information about preschool data on the Overview Report
The Overview report will be helpful for considering general needs, and includes displays of myIGDIs data at the AEA, District, and School levels. This report may summarize information related to behavior and attendance, if this information is entered in the local student information system, for AEA and district/school administrators that may not be available at that grain size within the student level reports.
Note: Effective in 2022-23 school year, the Academics indicator on the Overview report is powered by student grade data. This means assessment data (including myIGDIs data) is no longer available on the Overview report. We are working to update resources to remove references to assessments on the Overview report.
System Level Cutpoints
Understanding cutpoints is essential for making informed decisions about which students need the most support in different areas, including their academics, behavior, or attendance. In Student Success, each indicator bar is split into the following categories. These are updated cut points effective July, 2024.
The old system level cut points were different for each category. We elected to standardize them on the same cut points and let the individual student risk cut points provide the differentiation between categories.
