Intervention Notifications: Past Due Updates or Added to a Team

You will be notified of certain intervention activity for the students you work with in two ways: 

  1. Notification center in the upper right corner of Student Success lets you know when your interventions require updating(intervention champion only)
  2. Email notifications when you are added to a student's intervention plan, an intervention plan is overdue for a progress update, or an intervention plan is past completion date.

Your Notification Center

The notification center is a bell icon located in the upper right corner. When you see a purple dot on the bell it means you have notifications. 

Click on the bell to see the notifications and details. You will only receive notifications for interventions when you are the Champion, and progress monitoring updates or completion are past due. 

Notifications will be cleared once you complete the required action for the intervention.

Email Notifications

There are three types of email notifications:

  1. You are added as champion or a member of the intervention team
  2. Your intervention plan is overdue for progress updates
  3. Your intervention plan is past due (past the scheduled completion date but has not been marked as completed for students)

You have been added to an intervention team

You will receive an email notification whenever you are added as a champion or a member of the intervention team on an intervention plan.

If you add team members to the intervention team at different times, only the newly-added team members will receive an email. When you add yourself as the champion, you won’t receive an email notification.

Overdue/Past Due Email Reminders

  • If you have any intervention plans that are overdue for a progress update, you will receive an email that specifies how many intervention plans are overdue (by a week or more) for a progress update at each school where you have overdue plans. 

  • If you have any plans that are overdue for completion, meaning the end date has passed, you will receive one email that specifies how many plans are overdue for completion at each school where you have overdue plans. 

    You will continue to receive emails until the relevant plans are updated or completed.

Updating Email Notification Preferences

  • Overview: You may update your email notification preferences in Panorama, specifically with the ability to change how you receive notifications when intervention plans are overdue for progress updates or completion. You will have the choice to opt out of emails (and only receive the existing in-app notifications), and will be able to change whether you receive emails about plans that you are on the team for, or only plans that you are the champion for.
  • Specifics:
      • You can access these pages by clicking on your account icon on the top right corner of any page in Student Success, and then by clicking on the Account Settings menu option
      • After clicking on Account Settings you will be directed to the Personal Details page which shows the email address that all email notifications will be sent to. Note: You will not be able to edit the email address on this page. That information comes from the email entered in your district student information system and in your EdPortal account.
      • Clicking on the Notifications link in the left hand menu will take you to a new Notification Preferences page, where the new intervention plan notification preferences live.
